FILPAT is a free search service providing users with access to bibliographic patent data via www at http://www.fildata.it/ricerca_en.html.

1. Copyright - No resale of service
   FILPAT and FILPAT data are owned by Fildata Srl. The user agrees not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes, any portion of the FILPAT service, use of the service or access to the service. Neverthless, intellectual property professionals and attorneys may use data gathered trougth FILPAT service to offer advice to their customers.
   
   
2. Modification to service
   FILDATA Srl reserves the rigth to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the FILPAT service (or any part thereof). The user agrees that FILDATA Srl shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the FILPAT service.
   
   
3. Limitation of liability - Disclaimer of warranties
   Due to the high number and variety of FILPAT data sources and due to the intrinsic instability of electronic distribution, FILDATA Srl, notwithstanding the accuracy in data gathering and processing, cannot guarantee the completeness thereof. We therefore decline any responsability for possible errors or omissions and for any interruption of the FILPAT service. Under no circumstances will FILDATA Srl , its representatives and its employees, be responsible or liable in any way: a) for any errors or omissions in data collected from the Italian Chambers of Commerce or from the Italian Patent and Trademark Office; b) for any decision taken or action undertaken based on FILPAT information or on data downloaded from FILPAT service; c) for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use or abuse of the FILPAT service; d) for any loss or damage of any kind caused by or in connection with an unauthorized access or an alteration of user’s transmissions or data. The use of the FILPAT service is at the user’s sole risk. FILDATA Srl expressely disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. FILDATA Srl makes no warranty that the service will meet user’s requirements, the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable.
   
   
4. Username, password and security
   Upon completing the FILPAT service’s registration process, the user will receive a “username” and a “password”. The user is responsible for the correctness and completeness of data inserted in the registration form; the user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and username, and is fully responsible for all the activities that occur under user’s password or username. FILDATA Srl reserves the right to invalidate password and username without prior notice.
   
   
5. Privacy policy (art. 13 D.L. 196, 2003/06/30)
   The users’ information collected to fulfill the FILPAT service will be treated according to the applicable laws. The information will be treated electronically, manually or on paper. We have physical, electronic an procedural safeguards to protect personal information. FILDATA Srl will be responsible for treating users’ information: FILDATA Srl, Lgt.    a) to know whether his data exist or not;
   b) to know about the origin and content of data;
   c) to correct the data

6. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
   The terms of service and and reationship between FILDATA Srl and FILPAT users are governed by the law. FILPAT users and FILDATA Srl agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Rome.
